Cecilienhof Palace

Historical Site of the Potsdam Conference at Cecilienhof Palace

This palace was the last one erected by the Hohenzollern dynasty between 1913 and 1917. It served as a place of residence for crown prince William and his family until 1945. It was also here that the Potsdam Conference of the Allies took place from 17 July until 2 August 1945. The heads of government from the USA, the Soviet Union, and Great Britain – Truman, Stalin, and Churchill (later Attlee) – debated about a post-war policy for Germany and Europe. The historical conference hall as well as the conference rooms and offices used by the delegations can be toured.
